The Honey Bees Swarm

Over the weekend, I was fortunate enough to see a hive of bees swarm to create a new colony. Even luckier, my dad, a beekeeper, was able to collect them and set up a new hive for their home, saving the bees a lot of trouble and giving my dad an opportunity to expand his hives. Below you see the swarm of bees collecting where the Queen Bee has decided to rest, and my dad, Doug, in his bee-suit, shakes the bees from the branch so the group will fall into a box, where they rest until he has their new hive set up.

She was given a bath too after she found her way into a fish pond to try and chase after a frog. *DOH!
