Bumbles, Bees & Moths

Here are a few more photos I enjoyed from this past weekend.

The first bee is kicking her back leg to wipe the pollen off of her body onto her leg.

Does anyone know the name of this moth? They are so interesting looking, but pretty small. The largest one I saw was probably only 1/2 inch long.

This Bumble Bee must have gotten caught out in the rain.
She was clinging onto the Zinnia, just waiting to dry out and fly off.

I am not a fan of bees at all, but your photographs capture how beautiful they really are! Great photos! Thanks for sharing them!

Thank you girls! The honey bees were fun to work with, as they are so calm and very focused on the job at hand. I would have been really uncomfortable if the subject was wasps, hornets or yellow jackets.

Jennifer, you should have seen me when this spider popped out from behind a flower petal - eek!!!
